1. Introduction

Thank you for downloading this release of Parallels Plesk Billing 6.0. This file contains information that supplements the Parallels Plesk Billing 6.0 documentation such as requirements, information on new features, corrected bugs, known problems etc. This file was updated with the latest information available at release time.

Parallels Plesk Billing comes in two distributions (bundled and standalone) having different requirements:

Both versions are equal in features, only initial installation and configuration processes are different.

2.1. Before Installation

Before starting the installation process we strongly recommend that you create a full system backup of the entire server.

4. Upgrade Instructions for Bundled Version

Important notes for users of Parallels Virtuozzo Containers:

Parallels Auto-installer (also known as Plesk Updater) supports updating Parallels Plesk Panel and other software inside Parallels Virtuozzo Containers using EZ templates.

Compared to the previously used updating scheme, updating through EZ templates will save disk space significantly and will allow running more containers on a single hardware node.

This feature is available only with EZ templates. To upgrade a container this way, you need to:

Parallels Plesk Billing 6.0.3

  1. [+] PPP Reseller. Parallels Plesk Panel Resellers now can install their own PPB instance and connect their PPP account to billing like an individual PPP server (like PPP admin does).
  2. [+] Load balancing for domain provisioning. Depending on state of account stacking option, each new hosting package can be provisioned either to the same server where first client's hosting package was provisioned (old scheme) or to the best suitable server (load balancing).
  3. [+] Protx module API is upgraded to 2.23..
  4. [+] "I have my own domain" option for OrderShop. End-user is able to say that he already has a domain which he/she won't transfer.
